Their black and white feathers with yellow legs and vibrant red combs really stand out in the spring against the green grass.
Temperament wise the leghorn are a little flighty, yet they will eat from my hand.
The hens lay large white eggs, and they lay a lot of them! It seems sometimes in the summer that they lay twice a day.
This is an extremely healthy and hearty breed. I have had them for several years, and I don't think I have ever had a sick one. Chicks pop out of the eggs at a full run, ready for life.
